Welcome to ParentHive (“ParentHive,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights and choices when using our mobile application and related services (the “App”).
By using ParentHive, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Who We Are 

ParentHive is a community-driven platform designed to help parents connect, organize carpools, and coordinate activities in their local area. This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the ParentHive App available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Information We Collect

ParentHive is designed for adult users only. We do not collect data directly from or about children. Information you provide: name, email address, phone number, password, approximate location, ride preferences, and communication data. We also collect technical and location data when permitted.

How We Use Information

We use information to enable accounts, match parents for carpools, send notifications, improve app performance, provide customer support, and comply with law. ParentHive does not sell or rent personal information.

Subscription and Payments

ParentHive subscriptions are managed exclusively through the App Store and Google Play. We do not process, store, or access your payment information. All billing and renewals are handled by the app store provider.

How We Share Information

We may share limited information only to provide the service, such as with matched parents (first name, neighborhood, schedule) or trusted service providers. We may also disclose information when legally required or in anonymized form for analytics. We do not sell or share data with advertisers.

Location Data

Location access is optional. When enabled, we use your device’s approximate or precise location to suggest nearby parents and optimize matches. You can disable location permissions anytime.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain data while your account is active and for up to 90 days after deletion for troubleshooting or legal compliance. Afterward, data is permanently deleted or anonymized. You may delete your account anytime via the app or by contacting hello@parenthive.app.

Children’s Privacy

ParentHive is for adult users only. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. Accounts must be created and managed by parents or guardians.

Your Rights and Choices

You may access, correct, or delete your information, withdraw consent for optional data, or request a copy of your data by contacting hello@parenthive.app.

Security

We use encryption, secure storage, and limited access controls to protect data. While no system is completely secure, we take commercially reasonable steps to safeguard user information.

Data Transfers

If you use the App outside the U.S., your data may be transferred to and stored in other countries. We ensure appropriate protections consistent with applicable laws.

Limitation of Liability and User Responsibility

ParentHive provides a coordination tool only. We do not verify or control user actions, rides, or vehicle conditions. Each user is responsible for their own conduct, vehicle, and passengers. ParentHive is not liable for injury, loss, or damages resulting from user interactions or third-party conduct.

Insurance Disclaimer

ParentHive does not provide transportation services. Users must maintain valid driver’s licenses and insurance coverage as required by law. ParentHive disclaims all liability related to transportation arrangements between users.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ParentHive, its officers, employees, and affiliates from claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, breach of this Policy, or violation of any law.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy and your use of the App are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. Disputes shall be resolved exclusively in courts of Travis County, Texas.

Data Breach Notification

If a data breach occurs, ParentHive will notify affected users and authorities as required by law. Users must keep their credentials secure and notify ParentHive immediately of unauthorized access.

California Privacy Rights

California residents may request access to or deletion of their personal information under CCPA/CPRA. ParentHive does not sell or share data for advertising. Requests can be made via support@parenthive.app.

Platform Compliance

ParentHive complies with all App Store and Google Play data privacy and safety policies, including Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) and Google’s Data Safety requirements.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted in the App and on our website, with the effective date updated above. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email when required.
